A curated collection of sources and inspiration for best practices in DIY sustainability projects from all the project partners!
These selected examples from both urban and rural settings showcase the engagement of senior communities in sustainability efforts, emphasising their role in promoting eco-friendly living and fostering intergenerational knowledge sharing.
One of the first steps of our project towards increasing senior engagement through social media and DIYs.
We conducted focus groups with seniors in each of the participating countries, in order to truly understand seniors’ perspectives and experiences. A total of 14 focus group discussions were held, involving 91 participants.
The training manual was transformed into an E-Learning process and embedded here in the section E-Learning!
It consists of five engaging units, from climate change and DIY projects to videography, social media skills, and even entrepreneurship.
Senior participants from all the partner’s countries came together to engage in an enriching three-day session in Athens.
This activity aimed to empower seniors with digital skills in videography and social media, enabling them to promote climate change awareness, share their personal experiences, and encourage sustainable practices through DIY projects
This Platform aims to open up the dialogue on climate change, DIY practices and seniors’ contribution to the environmental agenda.
It can be used with seniors in various workshops, training sessions, and learning activities on these topics, and aims to inspire the project’s target group to create and share DIY content on social media, promoting a more sustainable world.
